Calling runners of all abilities, interests, and ages! This summer the family at Vertical Runner Breckenridge, America's Highest Running Store, is introducing the latest in running camps, CampVRB. This high altitude training camp is nestled in beautiful Summit County, CO. Camp will feature expert staff, unbelievable terrain, high alpine training, and a whole lot of fun! While many running camps are on tracks or roads, CampVRB utilizes the amazing Summit County trail system. The beautiful trails allow for a very unique training experience that you will never forget! CampVRB emphasizes running, and is a great opportunity for athletes in all sports to increase speed and endurance, improve performance, and enjoy life on the trails in Breckenridge, CO.

CampVRB is a 5 day 4 night camp based in Breckenridge, CO. unlike other summer camps, campers will stay in ridiculous houses on the slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort. 3 healthy, high-quality, delicious meals, and tons of snacks are included. Also included is a choose-your-own-adventure of activities like white water rafting, mountain biking, ultimate Frisbee, summiting 14ers, and so much more all included. Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in or volunteer at the Summit County Trail Running Series, the epic series takes place on amazing trails of the rocky mountains and has both 5 and 10k races.

Campers have a very unique opportunity to be a part of two internationally renowned races. For campers at the July 21-25 session the biggest new race in the running world, La Maratona Verticale is in Copper, CO (10 minutes from camp). This event is a part of the International Sky Running Series. "The Vertical Marathon" has a variety of distances ranging from the vertical mile up to full marathon; there is something for all runners. Be a part of this unique event put on by our friends at Bad to the Bone Endurance.  Campers are welcome to participate in the event, volunteer, or just watch some of the world's best runners compete.

The August session will have an opportunity to watch the legendary Leadville 100 is just 45 minutes away. Campers are welcome to volunteer or watch this sold out 100 miler. Additional charges may apply for these events.

The team at CampVRB has many experts in their respective fields, legends of the running world, and will include a variety of cutting-edge sponsors. We will work together to give you some of the best training in the world.   

Along with the owners of Vertical Runner Breckenridge, Molly Mikita and Ryan Morgan, the team includes Camp Coordinator and Doctoral Sport Psychology student Drew Mikita, a professor of psychology at Colorado Mountain College.  Staff may include:
